Informa Establish ProPak Asia 2026 as Key Regional Event, Expanding Space and Moving
to IMPACT; Recently Organized "ProPak Asia Night" to Mobilize Government and Industry
Partners to Delve into Economic Direction and Food Industry Future in 2026

BANGKOK - Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, Country General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand, the organizer
of ProPak Asia 2026, spoke at the inaugural "ProPak Asia Night." The event was held to flag ProPak Asia as the
comprehensive processing and packaging platform for the Asian region in its new venue, and to help push the Thai
manufacturing industry toward the global stage. The event mobilized ideas from qualified experts in government,
business organizations, and industrial sectors to delve into the economic direction and the future of the food industry in
2026. Mr. Sanchai stated that the global food industry today is heading towards three major trends: Food Security-
which is not just about availability but high nutritional value; Functional Food; and Personalized Nutrition, which will
see increased demand. These trends require high-precision production and processing technologies. Consequently,
production via Hyper-Automation will be adopted much faster.

Therefore, to enable entrepreneurs in both Thailand and the ASEAN region to access knowledge, exchange
experiences, and experience production technologies from around the world, ProPak Asia 2026 will undergo changes
that are distinct and emphasize its status as a key regional event. It is ready to seamlessly connect the business
ecosystem and the Total Value Chain, from upstream raw material preparation and management, to midstream
production and processing, to downstream warehousing and logistics. Furthermore, it opens a space for regional
entrepreneurs to connect, build partnerships, and negotiate business at both regional and global levels, reinforcing its
position as a truly significant industrial trade show for the region.

This year's event is more significant and larger to accommodate the growth of the manufacturing industry, necessitating
a move from the original venue to a new location: IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The exhibition area has been expanded
from 55,000 square meters to 65,000 square meters, an increase of approximately 20%. This expansion supports large,
medium, and small machinery technologies and comprehensive production lines from leading global companies. It also
provides a stage to present loT, Al, and Big Data technologies, which will be showcased as the most complete "Live
Working Line" in Asia. The new space will facilitate easier machinery transport, offer complete facilities, and
accommodate more exhibitors and visitors from around the world.

In addition to showcasing innovations, machinery technologies, and solutions, ProPak Asia 2026 will feature Regional
Conferences led by over 100 experts from various fields, including packaging, food, beverages, pharmaceuticals,
cosmetics, personal care, laboratory testing, and warehousing and logistics management. Highlights include the Global
Packaging Forum 2026, Executive Talk: Asian Agri-Food Sector-which delves into data covering the agriculture-food
sector to handle current challenges and explore future opportunities-and the Beverage Executive Talk for top
executives in the beverage industry to share perspectives and discuss future business directions. It is expected that this
year will see up to 2,500 brands from 45 countries exhibiting, with over 80,000 visitors. This is considered a prime
opportunity that Thai entrepreneurs cannot miss to visit a major regional event taking place in Thailand.

Dr. Charoen Kaewsuksai, Chairman of the Food and Beverage Industry Club, The Federation of Thai Industries,
revealed the situation of the Thai food industry for 2026 at the same event. He noted that the overview of Thai food
exports in 2025 had a total value of 1.52 trillion baht, contracting by -7.5% compared to the previous year. The agri-food
group decreased by -12.2%, and the agro-industrial group decreased by -2.9%. Although major markets like China (-
11.4%) and ASEAN (-10.2%) slowed down, positive signals were seen in new and high-potential markets, including
Latin America (+6.26%), Africa (+3.64%), the USA (+2.58%), and the European Union (+1.21%). Thailand takes pride
in being the "Kitchen of the World," but under new challenges, we must reconsider if our kitchen is modern, safe,
sustainable, and sufficiently connected to the world. Today's food industry is driven by three key hearts: Innovation,
Global Connection, and Sustainability. Innovation is not just about launching new flavors but must respond to consumers
regarding health, safety, the environment, and sustainability. Innovation will be the weapon for developing products that
meet demands and inventing foods the world needs. Meanwhile, production processes must Digitize by adopting Al and
Automation technologies, transforming traditional factories into flexible and fast Smart Manufacturing. This helps
seamlessly connect to the global supply chain across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. None of this can
happen without tools and technology. ProPak Asia 2026 is a key event for the regional industrial sector, a hub of
innovation, machinery technology, and modern solutions, and serves as the event that will truly enable Thai
entrepreneurs to connect to the global Supply Chain.

Dr. Visit Limlurcha, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Processed Food and Future
Food Committee,
added regarding global trade in 2026 that while it faces challenges, there are opportunities within
crises. Amidst uncertainty, the world requires greater food security. Thailand, as a food producer, remains important but
must move forward to keep pace with global directions, including inventing and producing Future Food and creating
value for products. Innovation is the first key to processing raw materials into High Value goods, making Thai food
products answer Health & Wellness needs and proving they are genuinely good for health to create new selling points.
Regarding Digital Transformation, it is the passport to global markets. New regulations and trading partners prioritize
data and product traceability; failing to digitize production processes and data storage could mean missing the boat.
Another crucial aspect is linking domestic production to the Supply Chain and standards required by the world. Upstream
sectors like farmers must know what the global market wants, and processing factories must link with production sources
to control quality. Linking from the upstream will make the ecosystem of Thai food products strong and resilient to
fluctuations. All the aforementioned points rely on innovation and technology to drive them. ProPak Asia 2026 is
considered an "Important Jigsaw" for the Thai industry that should be visited to apply the knowledge exchanged at the
event to develop production to keep pace with global demands.

ProPak Asia 2026 is scheduled to take place from June 10-13, 2026, at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention
Center, Muang Thong Thani.
